Gossip Girl castmates Blake Lively, Chase Crawford and Leighton Meester are victims of some not-so-nice graffiti.

Blake Lively got some tough news Monday after her father was seriously injured in a car accident.

The Gossip Girl took the first flight back to L.A. from New York to be by her dad’s side, as first reported by Star magazine.

Ernie Lively, 61, is an actor who appeared as Blake’s on-screen father in both Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movies and is currently guest-starring on Criminal Minds. Early Monday, Lively was on his way to the show’s Long Beach set when his car went off the road and reportedly flipped over.

He is being treated for a broken back as well as arm and nose.

“It was pretty bad — he’s lucky to be alive,” a source told the magazine. “They are as close as any father and daughter could be — she was beside herself when she got this horrible news. Her dad taught her everything.”

Happily, the actor was already doing better just a day after his car crash.

“He’s doing much better,” Ernie Lively’s business partner and cousin Harold Smith tells Star. “His wife Elaine just called to say they’ve moved him to a regular room.”

No word yet on when he’ll be released.
