After celebrating Christmas Eve with Courteney Cox in L.A., Jennifer Aniston plans to ring in the New Year in Mexico with her BFF and the Cox-Arquette family.

Aniston was spotted at the airport in Los Cabos, Mexico, on Dec. 28, sporting jeans, flip flops and a scarf.

The Mexican resort town is a favorite travel spot for the bikini-loving Jen, 39, who will spend New Year’s with Cox and her hubby David Arquette, along with the couple’s daughter Coco.

But Jen’s boyfriend John Mayer will be close by: The singer and his brothers arrived in Los Cabos on Saturday and will stay through the New Year, People.com reports.

Aniston — whose movie Marley & Me remains top dog at the box office — is definitely ending 2008 on a high note.

Courteney Cox is not making any friends on the season premiere of Scrubs.

The former Friends star will appear on the Jan. 6 return of the sitcom as the chief of medicine for at least the first three episodes.

As for her former TV hubby, Matthew Perry, he will follow her debut on Scrubs later in the season.

The long-running medical sitcom has moved from NBC to ABC for its eighth season.

Courteney Cox has made the small-screen transformation from N.Y. “friend” to L.A. tabloid editor.

Next up for the actress? Playing a divorced cougar.

Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence picked Cox to fill the role of a hot, 40-year-old divorced mom for his ABC pilot Cougar Town, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The show aims to show beautiful older women in a realistic light.

“Forty-year-old women on TV are so beautiful and perfect and wrinkle-free,” said Lawrence, who worked alongside Cox during her Friends days.

“People don’t do the reality of it, and there is a real comedy area about a woman who is talking about Botox, about having sex with the lights on and how her body is changing.”

Cox, whose most recent project, Dirt, was cancelled earlier this year, has said she has been “a huge fan of Bill Lawrence and his comedic sensibilities” since her Friends days.

Production for Cougar Town is set to begin in early January.

Courteney Cox-Arquette admits she’s tried Botox, but she’s not going back for more.

“Botox? I think it’s fantastic and also horrible,” she tells November’s Marie Claire. “I mean, they’ve come up with this stuff that can make you not look angry. But you have to use it sparingly.”

“I went to this doctor once, and he was like, ‘Oh, let me do it just here and here and here,’” says the former Friends star, 44. “And I was miserable…I hated it.”

Luckily for Cox, her hubby – actor David Arquette– likes her just the way she is.

“He loves the aging process,” she tells the magazine. “He thinks it’s beautiful.”
